Cable problems? PA, North Huntingdon Township wants to hear from residents By The Tribune-Review North Huntingdon Township, which is in the midst of renegotiating its cable television provider agreement with AT&T Cable Services, wants to hear about problems subscribers in the township are having with their cable.

During a recent meeting of the township's board of commissioners, officials noted that they have received complaints about improper billing. Digital cable subscribers have also complained that the time of day displayed through their cable has been incorrect since the clock's were turned ahead for Daylight Savings Time.

Township Manager John Shepherd said people can call AT&T directly, or they can save themselves some time and aggravation and call the township office at (724) 863-3806. The township will in turn contact the cable provider on behalf of North Huntingdon subscribers in an effort to rectify the glitches.

In other business, the commissioners approved the reimbursement of $7,500 to the Fairmont Hahntown Fire Department for the installation of new garage doors at the fire hall. A cement pad project originally planned for the department was scrapped in favor of the new doors, which were considered to be more necessary.

New windows are also slated to be installed at the Town House. A payment of $18,670 to Thermo Twin Industries for the installation of the windows was approved by the board.

The four windows are the last that remain to be installed to replace old windows with broken glass. The remaining cost of the project will be paid upon its completion.
