He got suspended at southwick. The 2nd one of the yr I think. Unsportsman conduct or something. He should be able to return in june sometime.

yeah he was suspended for like 60 days for beating on a rider and yelling at a ref.

Scott got suspended at the first Southwick NESC race for 46 days. He didn't beat on ANYONE. He lost it and in a open letter to the riders he explained his anger and admitted his mistake and why he reacted the way he did. He's still racing and totally enjoying himself, removed from the BS that led to his reaction. I wish him well and success.

could you define lost it? sounds like your defending what he did and to that letter he wrote i don't think it ever made it to all the riders.

Everyone has an opinion and hopefully an informed opinion. Scott's letter was very open minded and actually brought a lot of NESC issues to the forefront. Hundreds of copies were available, if I still have one, I'll fax it to you. E-mail me with your fax. We are not all born perfect, he screwed up, and he admitted it. AND he admitted it publicly, that says a lot about his core character.

I think he should have to run around the track with a speedo on and a big sign on his back that says I screwed up while people throw old tomatoes or eggs at him or something, that will definitely staighting the guy out.

I think all of this feedback is good. Everyone needs to remember that we are all human and that our adrenalaine gets pumping with our sport. Scotty made a mistake, he's human!! His emotions got the best of him.. It happens to all of us at some point. If you even know him in the slightest way, you know he's a good guy and is good for our Sport. Hell, he kicked some butt at the Southwick National last year.. All I can say is, he made a mistake and I dont think we should hold this over his head for the rest of his life.. If this was you and you lost your "cool" for a minute, you wouldn't want it held over your head..

I know you're asking where he is, and this message is old, but he is back now. I saw him at bull run, and he looks great! He seems good and he seems happy. Hope he does well, and I wish him all the luck

DEFENDING CARTERS SITUATION,I HAVE BEEN IN THE SAME SITUATION AT TIMES AND LET ME TELL YOU FRUSTRATION DOESN'T BEGIN TO DESCIBE HOW YOU FEEL BEHIND A LAPPED RIDER.WE BOTH REALIZE THAT THEY ARE FIGHTING FOR THEIR POSITION AS WELL,BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY CAN'T LOOK OVER THEIR SHOULDER ONCE IN A WHILE. I FIND IT VERY HARD TO BELEIVE YOU CANNOT TELL WHEN A MUCH FASTER RIDER IS COMING UP ON YOU. POSSIBLY THE NESC SHOULD HAVE A LAPPED RIDER FLAG...WHY NOT. JUST THINK HOW SCOTT FELT AFTER HIS EMOTIONS WERE SETTLED HE LOST A LOT OF POINTS,CONTINGENCY AND TRACK MONEY FOR THE NEXT MONTH.WELCOME BACK SCOTT AND SHOW THEM WHY YOU HAVE THOSE #1 PLATES IN FRONT OF 15,000 LOYAL FANS AT THE SOUTHWICK NATIONAL....PAT
