OK, as some of you know I'm giving up any chance of retaining an independant lifestyle and anchoring myself to wor lass in the holy state ofalimonymatrimony. The case is being heard in August. In the interests of fun and a good excuse for a massing of black and white shirts getting drunk I suggest that anyone who would like to join me in a kickabout and few jars after reply on here, or mail me.
As I live dahn sahf, I hope to find a piece of turf in/around London for this. Suggestions welcome, as are all of you lot. I reckon some weekend in July would be about right.
As with tradition, this is really a lads only thing, but any girlie types who wish to stand on the touch-line with a magic sponge and cold can of lager will be welcomed. Oh, ok...if you want to play, ok.
Look forward to making the close season a little brighter with you all soon :-)

-- Anonymous, May 24, 2000

Bobster, Assuming a convenient date, I'll be there, Ain't had a kickabout in the park since, ooh, I can't remember. But I know I didn't wear lenses then so couldn't guarantee what I was kicking. Come to think of it, I wouldn't make any guarantees now either.Keep us informed of where/when.
-- Anonymous, May 24, 2000
Young boys in the park..bags down for goals, what's the score 17-12 isn't it?
Wembley's just up the road from your place can we hire it for a kickaround?
Oh..if the dates ok, I'm in - but only if I can be on the opposite side to ITK :o)
-- Anonymous, May 24, 2000
So Scratchy wants to kick Ken and Sting wants to kick me...Damn I can feel this getting competitive already!! ;)
-- Anonymous, May 24, 2000
Gav, I'm concerned that you've identified yourself with Sting's makum challenge.Actually, I know a Manure fan or 2, so perhaps we could have a more competitive edge to it ;-)
...no neck high challenges on the Mancs, lads
ps - Jay, lasses are also welcome pet...in fact it might just mean all the blerks start acting reet macho like just to impress ;-)
-- Anonymous, May 24, 2000

I know the weeding is being done on the 12th of August, and alas I'm in Portugal then, but if the date is right for the stag kick aboot I'm in...... especially if I can get the chance to kick the sh*t oot of the itchy one....that is assuming I continue breathing long enough.Garcie......you were aksing for a pair of size 12 unused boots....try Des.Hamilton@nufc.co.uk !

Am I right in thinking this thread is going down the list of topics? You mean it doesn't keep to the top as most recent contribution!?!Volunteers to bring a ball along?
Also, I propose a home vs away Toon kit to make it a bit easier to pass to someone in yer own team. No-one is allowed to wear the Brazil kit, mind.
Has anyone heard anything from Min of late? Not that I'm worried, just it'll be some entertainment for Gav in the post-game bath ;-)
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Yes where is my little b***h hiding? ;)
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Min was meant to come out last Saurday and never did , so im stumped .. he just lives roond the corner , ill knock him up soon . can we wear the brazil coloured away top from 1982 ?
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Sting,Am I allowed to make any smutty comments about you saying that "you'll knock him up"??
I only ask cos you've been a bit off with me lately.....threatening me with all sorts of things as soon as I open my mouth....
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Gav, a pair of wrap-around sunglasses and mouthwash at the ready and you'll be fine.
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
If the bbs had to put out a 'full team' would we be able to field a half decent side, What posistion do YOU play? I'm a Centre-half with the touch and finess of an elephants midwife.;-)
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Course you can man yer stupid bugger , all in jest bonnie lad ; - )))
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
The Brazil shirt is my lucky shirt, I'll have to wear a different one and play sh*te then :o)
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Scratchy lad,You mean you play well wearing banana yellow? Hmmmm ;-)
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Grc,definitely a defender, probably as a traditional right back (i.e. wearing long shorts, half-time beer and as fit as a lump of lard) :-)
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Bobby Are you the Bobby I once met that bar in London b4 the Chelsea game?
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
I'll organise the pre and post match parties. Might even play, but only if I can be right wing.
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Aye, count me in.
I could book the all weather pitch at Brunel?
(Hillingdon hospital near-bye- mortuary and graveyard handy.)
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
There you go Sting....there's even a graveyard there for ya.....get yersel booked in now mate ;)
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
You havent seen me play yet mate .. id reserve that judgement . The problem id have is width but , getting past your good self ;-) Actually i seem to remeber walking through a couple of graveyards this season .. whoever said 'Stamford Bridge is just the other side of the graveyard ' needs hanging .. do i remeber you having a wazz on someones headstone as well Gav .. very uncooth , weshingt...... :-)
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Yes it was quite a little walk to the ground for the Chelsea match....
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
GrcOh yes, t'was I indeed :-) With young Grant / Sting alongside. Your jokes are well missed, mate.
Bill,
The Brunel pitch would be excellent for the Hillingdon PoW Posse, but not sure about the rest of the gang. Still, be dead funny seeing the look on the PoW landlord's face when a dozen odd Mags turn up supping ale :-)
Susie
"Might even play, but only if I can be right wing"
Right wing! Yer a bloomin' fascist, girl! :-)) xx
Play anywhere yer fancy, kidda...just remember that all the lads will be looking to slide their tackles in your direction...Sorry, that was totally unnecessary
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Hahaha the Gavus Maximus Smut Virus strikes another unsuspecting (and soon to be married) victim....
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
just remember that all the lads will be looking to slide their tackles in your direction..I thought it was always best to try and stay upright as long as possible. And you don't want to slide in to early..
Oh, Is that the time. Must dash
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
I can't believe that after one day this thread has ended up in the recycle bin of the BBS!I'm going to have to restart another one soon to confirm details.
Any suggestions for venues, other than Bill's kind offer of the astro- turf at Brunel?
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
Disgraceful how this thread keeps dropping down the list...I just can't understand it?!?!
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
I've oft heard of them refered to in different ways dear boy.....but never called a 'direction' - is this health service terminology.BTW Garcie, which Chelsea game do you mean, the league match presumably coz Bobby didn't make the last one....did you old son!
-- Anonymous, May 25, 2000
ITK, 'twas the match that will be remembered for Bobby Robsons return to Premiership Football. BTW I went to see my Nan the other day (I missed her birthday so done the next best thing a grandson can do). She was telling me about how that picture had sparked off so many memories for her. She had nearly moved back to Acton Place from Benton, but a 3rd party who was involved in the house swap pulled out.
-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000
Well I can play goalkeeper Bob if you need a Keeper or I could just get drunk in the bar. Oh hang on last time I played drunk we lost 18- 0 but only 15 of them were my fault honest guv
-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000
Bake! You do appear at the most oportune times, old son.
I'll put you down for the #1 shirt on one side or other. Check out the update thread (threads, no doubt) for more.
-- Anonymous, May 26, 2000
