Hackers Breach Hungarian Foreign Ministry WebsiteBUDAPEST, May 22, 2000 -- (Agence France Presse) Hackers breached the Hungarian foreign ministry's website and changed the contents of its homepage, ministry spokesman Gabor Horvath said Friday.
Horvath called the crime, which occurred overnight, "very unfortunate and unacceptable," but stressed that the hacking did not endanger the ministry's communications system.
Horvath said the ministry had launched an investigation into the breach of the website, which was not operational on Friday. ((c) 2000 Agence France Presse)
