Help with starwars:Controll settings

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

I4m planning to upload some scores on Star wars but I can not see any options to play with the mouse or trackball.. To play with the joystick is really hard I can tell ;)

Anyone who can help me with that??

It defaults to mouse or trackball. Setting controls are under 'Analog Controls' from your main menu inside MAME. There you can adjust control settings and sensitivity. Buttons are changed from Keyboard or Joystick to Mouse inside the 'Game Input (this game)' section of the main menu.

Anxious to see what you can do. I'm practicing this game at the moment as well so that I can vie for first on the entire trilogy. We'll see.

Damn it QT! I can not get my controls working properly... The mouse works now, but the playing with it I can not score high at all... For the moment I score more with the joystick...

Those highscores om marp on Starwars are not good... but I asume that they had the same control problems as I have ;)

ps is there any way to set up the controls on the mouse so you go up when you push up? I mean the reverse pilot controls don4t fit me with a mouse... but on the arcade it was diferent.. on the real pilot joy in the arcades the control was excellent with the reverse controls..

To adjust mouse sensitivity settings, change the sensitivity values under 'Analog Control', not the Key/Joy Speed (that's when you are using keyboard or joystick as an analog substitute. You'll likely have to lower the settings a bit, because they are quite sensitive at default.

To reverse the up/down, change the AD Stick Y Reverse from Off to On, again under 'Analog Control', in your main menu.

I am anxious to learn, master. Let's see what you can do.
