Republicans have affairs too? OH MY GOD!!!

After the witch hunt of Clinton I though Republicans were as clean as driven snow. His wife said it was miserable to show up in public with him knowing he was having an affair with a co-worker.

Oh gawd, does this mean what I think it means?!

Cin, I think the republican party will come up with a capable replacement for Rudy. And I think New York will vote him in, whoever he is. They dont like Hillary..It's very obvious from the poles, and New Yorkers really do prefer on of "their own".

Yes! there is a God. I cant stand that jew hating, racist, two timing, blue balled, nazi bastard! Living in the city for five years during his reign made me leave for good.

kritter,

Yes, they do, but I doubt that Rudy would have won that election against anyone (and frankly, I think he knew it too). I don't know where you're from, but until recently, I lived in NYC for all my life. The state would never elect anyone from the city. Those living outside NYC but within NYS historically do not like anyone from the city. And with Rudy's ego being what it is.....

Seems they can't forgive or forget Ed Koch's remark (when he wanted to run for the Senate some years ago) that "the suburbs are a joke". Funny, they don't seem to realize that it's the city that keeps the state on the proverbial map; as the city doesn't realize that the state houses the voters (NYC has half the population of the entire state, but I think more people outside the city actually vote). It's always been a battle. Don't see it changing much.

But it's not my problem any more -- woo hoo! Now I have to learn who my *new* politicians are :-)

Rudy was the best rock bassist of all time. From his early days in The Good Sounds back in the '50s, all the way to his squalid bombastic bass thumping with Utter Noise Destruction, no one will ever be able to replace him. True UND does plan to look for a replacement, but could the Beatles have replace John Lennon?

Rudy we will miss you. Hope you will be working on a new project soon. Maybe its time to bring your talents to the Rap Metal genre? Rock on, and Rock Hard.

Agreed, Patricia.. You are correct in your statements about NYS. I still think of New York as being Manhattan and the Boros. I often forget there is an entire state up there someplace. My statement was based on the opinions of city dwellers, having only the New York Post and the Daily News as my reading material here in the southern suburbs of NJ.

Oh, kritter, sorry about that NY Post and Daily News thing ;-)

Funny that you think of NY as being Manhattan and the boroughs; most people think only of Manhattan. As a former Brooklyn resident, you can well imagine the frustration there.

Rudy did himself in, IMO. He had a good thing going, did alot to help the city, but then the Ego took over. I mean, it got to the point where he took credit for EVERYTHING good that went on in the city. I remember "New York" magazine ran a series of outdoor ads (mostly on buses) that said "The only good thing about NY that Rudy can't take credit for" (or something like that). He actually sued to have the ads removed! How absurd. He had a perfect PR opportunity there to appear "human" and he blew it.

Hey, I was a "Rudy fan" the first term; after that, the honeymoon was over.
