Shortfall claim from Bristol & Westgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Repossession : One Thread
My partner has recently received a shortfall claim from the B&W for #25,000. The mortgage is was in his and his ex-partners name. We now have two small children and NO spare cash to offer a lump sum or anything left to give them each month. Have written to them asking for documentation about the sale of the house which they have provided willingly but they will not answer any quedtions about the other excessively high costs they have detailed involved including councellors fees and garden maintenance etc. Where do we go from here now? We have not provided any proof of income etc. Also how does this affect me as the mortgage was nothing to do with me? Can they chase me for any cash as our income is now joint? HELP!!!
