Who said there's no free lunch?

Or does al-d refer to parting gifts? Can't you hear the voice of Don Pardo:

"Third-place contestants will receive the hardback version of Shakespeare's "To Burn or Not to Burn", as well as a 200 megawatt hair dryer, courtesy of Satan's Minions Unlimited.

Abraham was saved through works; when he raised his hand against his son, God saw him worthy and stayed his hand by providing the sacrifice from the thicket. Get it right, or pipe down.

we may start with faith, but as time goes on, i believe god provides his own with plenty of evidence that his word is true. i initially believed because of faith, but now i believe because i have seen.

Yes, Yes, Yes.

Did I make it clear I agree? I've had many Blessings in my life. The kind that make you go, "Thanks. I needed that. Let thy will, not mine be done."

It is evidence I demand & evidence I receive. The fact that JC is not involved (or takes no credit) in the execution of these Blessings tells me there are many paths to the same end.

I trust al-d, that his path is the right one for him. that he doesn't do likewise only saddens me.

Abraham was most definitely NOT saved by works.

"By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son." -- Hebrews 11:17, KJV
