Crawling out of the woodwork

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

Is it just me or are 'they' crawling out of the woodwork?

Seems lately every poster gets attacked for some reason or another.

I dont really care who 'they' are, but IMHO, it is a real attempt to bring down this forum....

Thats sad, I say "REGULARS, LET US UNITE"

although it seems we be doing a 'fine' job of it so far....

-------thanks regulars.

Consumer-

I too have noticed the unnecessary hostility lately. I just choose to ignore them, and look for the insightful and humourous posts. The regulars will prevail! Thanks Sumer for your upbeat attitude...it's been a little rare of late.

Hey Sumer,

Guess ya gotta crawl before ya can walk, then watch'em run like hell!

What is not given creedance don't mount to shit, seems sometimes ignoring "those people" is the best retaliation available, cause if we don't mind,it don't matter.

Let the party begin,IT'S SUMMER!!!

You did it to us (wec@n.doittou),

What are you doing to yourself, if you've chosen to become what you used to despise?

Maybe it's the recent planetary alignment that is making people wierd. Also, isn't it full moon time on the 18th?

-- Lurker2 (still@lurking.around), May 17, 2000.

But who's doing what to whom? It isn't Polly vs Doomer any more, we kinda liked the interaction, give and take, and even got to like people who had opposite views even before the rollover. There were certainly people I liked to "argue" with back then, I got to enjoy their posts, even if I "knew" they were wrong :o)

It's over, we enjoyed having discussions and so we have been drawn to continue interacting.

Personally I think it is just one or two doing most of the stirring, some one(s) who aren't happy unless they are in the middle of a conflict. We can just ignore them, they are nothing more then the old, irritating troublemakers that have always hung around forums before Y2K became an issue. This place will continue to grow into a place where people come to just to talk about anything and everything.

It ain't about Y2K anymore. Even though I kinda like to look back at things that were said in the past every once in a while and wonder at how they look in todays world. It is nice not to have people tell me I am lower than mud any more although it didn't bother me when they did call me names since their words had no effect on how I view myself.

Its all the fault of people like y2kpro1, LL and other intolerants, the same thing is happening in the UK with "New Labourites" who have reduced political or any discussion to slanging matches and demonising I think we are heading towards a rerun of the 20s and 30s when people polarised into communists and fascists (both the same as far as I'm concerned) something happened towards the end of 1998 (when the trolls started)

there is definitely a move towards totalitarianism and mass manipulation/hysteria, started in the UK in 1997 with the death of Diana and the election of Blair and his ilk

Cherri: AGREED.
