The character of Dr. Doug is written out of the mold of Doug the first 2 seasons prior to Doug changing. Goes against the hospital policies, always trying to get someone to go out with him. I really do not like this character and could truly care less if he is written out. If the writers want a carbon copy of Doug the early years bring George back.

I think Dr.Dave is the coolest character.He adds a bit of comic relief to the show that is really needed at times.I would be really disappointed if he were to leave because not only is he a funny character but he is gorgeous too!You just can't help loving his goofiness

I think Dave is a great character. I know he's staying because he has a four year contract. I think that Dave will take Elizabeth's scolding to heart and work harder because some of it's true. I think Dave will get alot better next season.

dave is the koolist charactor to ever ever enter the er,he adds a comic sense to the show and it would be very very very very sad to see him leave, i think dave needs to get a love life, me maybe!!!

I love Dave and I think that if he got his act together a little he would be a great doctor! I definately think they should put him in the show more.

I agree, they should write more scripts where he does something RIGHT and he gets on the better half of the ER staff's side. I think he HAS to stay because he's a great comic relief that's sorely needed sometimes. If he straightened up his act a bit, he'd be a great doctor and I think that's what the writers should think about.

i personally think he's a great character and gives comic relief to the whole crew, nobody else there acts funny or anything, its almost boring without him there, i know he's the only reason i tune in every week, and all you people who said he's an immature little freak, well you can go to hell for all i care.

I love Dr. Dave! I think he should get a better storyline though. I mean, that stupid Luka guy got a storyline in his first few episode! Daves been there since Season 6!
