Wow! Good q.. I predict we'll see him committed if not next week, than sometime in the first 1/2 of next season. He's clearly no longer rational or ethical at this point.I wonder if it reallly is bipolar.I hope not...

Carter truly needs help. Whether he admits it or not, he is heading down a dangerous road. I think he maybe bipolar. I hope not, but this would truly be a challenging role for Noah to sink his teeth in.

Well, at this point, I think there are about 2 things that can happen~ DO NOT READ! I MAY GIVE AWAY THE NEXT EPISODE! 1. He'll become suicidal, but if he actully attempts it, he most likely won't die. (Remember when Lucy was killed off? We knew about it a month before it really happened.) 2. He gets better because someone drags him off to a therapist kicking and screaming. (But not literally.) 3. He relizes he needs help and gets it.

Shades of Mark Greene post attack. We've been here before and they'll push Carter to the limit for a bit and then re-assimilate him. I'm looking forward to seeing how Carter's responses to the attack will differ from Mark's.

Carter will come back a nicer, more experienced, more understanding and more knowledgable and he will be welcomed back and respected by everyone except Romano...nothing new there then.

i agree with carans first theory about him becoming suicidal, but i think benton will save him just befor he attemps to kill himself

nooooooooooooooo, not sucidele!(we don't know how to spell that, we are only eleven!)we are mager fans of noah!!!!!

I sure hope he doesn't become suicidal. Noah Wyle is the hottest and coolest doctor on the show and if he left the show wouldn't be as much fun to watch. I think he is going to get help but still have problems with his back because if you got stabbed in the back you're going to probably feel it for a long time.
