Actually, gas prices in the U.S., when adjusted for inflation (a VERY important point), are among the lowest in all the years from 1918 to now.

Mr/Ms Chicken, historical inflation logic doesn't mean Jack to the trucker who made a contract bid, to include last years gas prices. You must be too high up or too low down, to see the middle man. You kill the middle man, the pizza deliverer, the repairman, yada yada, you kill the embryo. Not to worry, maybe it can't go high enough to reach you. Do you think poorer folks drive those rag autos because that is what they choose? All are given, different talents. The phrase "talents"(misp). I seem to remember, meant coins or wealth.
