Cruise ship fire

Quick work by Victoria firefighters prevented a smokestack fire in a huge cruise ship docked at Ogden Point from spreading to the rest of the ship. It began when an engine-room generator over-heated and ignited soot in a smokestack. Battalion chief Bob Bowles says they were relieved the fire didn't spread to the rest of the "Crystal Harmony," a ship he says is as big as the Empire State Building if tipped on end.
