I think this game should be banned...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

I just came across the game "The king of dragons" (bootleg)(kodb) And gave it a try..but unlike the original version your hero was invissible! I played for a while and got about 60000 and then i quit the game.. I could have uploaded an inp on 60000 and the first place would have been mine, but hey what is the point playing with an invisible guy? The game is hard when you see your hero but now it becomes even harder :)

I think that "kodb" should be banned until it works properly..

Please let me hear your opinions!

I agree with you - I'll wait for other opinions before I delete though.

Winning the second level in that game(not the original, the game QRS is referring), requires just as much luck as getting the five LUCKY panels in stage 6 of Blazing Star - and then surviving the 5 minute 10 second boss attack on the easiest settings.

I know - bad segway... but at least I made my point :) GB9

I think I can going over 2 million with invisible character. #but I also think it makes more difficult.

Over 2 mil. on King of Dragons? Hey that4s an incredible score even when you see your hero Hisa..

Are you sure that we are talking about the same game? Even to get 100000 would be good at the bootleg version of this game (kodb)

If you are serios about this i must say you are probably the best King of dragon player in the world Hisa! I mean it! Nothing is impossiple... I know you are a great player.

I think King of Dragons is made by CAPCOM 1990 or 1991. Select Wizard,Elf,Fighter,Monk and dwarf at the beginning of game. my best record of clearing all 16 area was 4,043,400 at ELF.

Japanese record is more than 7 million by Elf,5.4million by wizard..... is my knowledge of this game.

I hope we talk about exactly same game. my score table(I do not memory clearly but..) When clear area 1,score become about 35K. I will write it 1-35K. 2-70K,3-130K,4-220K,5-26K,6-2M,11-3M,16-4M.

That is amasing scores Hisa! I really must say that you ara a great player on that game! But one question Hisa: Can it really be possible to finish the came without aven see your character??

I meen You must calculate every move of your hero and once you lost him then find where he is again... And the bosses??

The great dragon in the end is not easy when you are vissible...

But everything is possible.. but it beats me I can tell...

Cheers

I have nothing to say about this KODB thing, I just liked Gameboy9's comparison to Blazing Star. ;) sheesh... the game seems possible to do on one credit, until that Stage 6 boss is reached. And the last boss is no picnic either....

Very funny.I will try it and post the best play of mine at the end of August.

QRS, you are a wise man not to bet your money against a player like Hisa Chan :) Take my word for it, I had the privilage of viewing a video tape Hisa Chan sent to me of him playing about a dozen games from the arcade personally, (mostly shooters) which went to the Twin Galaxies Archive and let me tell you this, I have NEVER in my life seen someone meneuver his way through a varage of bullets in a shooting game like what I saw him do in his tape. It was purely amazing and almost inhumanily impossible. I would put any amount of money to back his skills against anyone without thinking twice. Outcome: He WILL reach his goal and then some...

Oh yea, and most of the scores he's gotten on many of the games he plays are up there, but are not tops to other Japanese players that have scored higher. There's a whole lot of skill going on over there in Japan that's for sure! :)

Is Hisa on Marp (under a nickname) ? Is there a few inputs of him on this site ? Or maybe on mamenavi ?

Because what you're saying , Steve , is exciting our curiosity : it would be fun to watch his skillness

So Hisa , if you're not yet on Marp , I hope you will join us soon
