need to take care of each other

greenspun.com : LUSENET : New England Motocross Racing : One Thread

Is anyone taking up collections for the Psaledas family? I would like to make a donation, but don't know Mike personally. I would encourage every other NESC rider to do the same. Medical insurance doesn't pay for miscellaneous expenses such as lost wages. My friend Joe Hidler( a former 125-youth-A rider) was paralyzed in 1990, and I have seen personally how devastating this type of injury can be. Ten years later I am still emotionally scarred, and would not be racing today if Joe hadn't talked me into sticking with the sport. If anyone out there is too cheap to make a donation, just remember, that could be you next week!

Count me IN. NESC has some provisions to help out in situations like this but the support of his fellow riders is more meaningful. Let's get Ruth to put something in the NEWSLETTER and I'll gladly walk around with a collection can.

I don't know Mike either, but I would like to make a donation. If anyone has some informaiton on that, please let me know. I remember that accident with Joe Hidler. My friends and I used to watch him ride at the North Reading/Lynnfield sand pit when we were just starting out on 80s.

I don't know Mike either but let me know if there is a collection being taken up. I will definetly donate. Its a dangerous sport so we should take care of our own.

If anyone is interested in helping Mike out. See Bill Dill (vet- expert #35), next weekend at Middleboro. I know he had a donation bucket hanging from his ez-up tent all day yesterday @ Southwick. I stoped by the team moduline rig & droped twenty bucks in for Mike & his family. I'm sure all donations will be greatly appreciated! Our prayers are with you Mike!
