There's a small article in the May 22, 2000 US Weekly about Noah Wyle's wedding with a nice picture of the two of them.

Duh! He got married last Saturday, Shawn. If that's news to you, you must not be a Wyle/Carter fan!

Hey, Shawn, thanks for the heads up! Is this the US Weekly with Russell Crowe on the cover?

DUH Lauren! Shawn was giving us a heads up to look for the article, not commenting on how they didnt know about the wedding.

Lauren - Anna's right. I knew that he got married, I was just letting people know that the article was out there if they wanted to read it. And I am a Carter fan! :o)

Samira - yes, it is the issue with Russell Crowe on the cover.

Wyle's Wedded Bliss

It's no quickie job in Las Vegas, but the vineyards of Los Olivos will do just fine for Noah Wyle and his blushing new bride.

The 28-year-old actor, better known to the ER faithful as Dr. Carter, tied the knot Saturday with 32-year-old girlfriend and makeup artist, Tracy Warbin, near Santa Barbara.

According to People, the pair exchanged vows at the Andrew Murray Vineyards in Los Olivos, California (not too far from their own 45-acre estate). More than 100 guests showed up for the affair, including ER chum Eriq LaSalle and Lou Diamond Phillips, who brought out his old Ritchie Valens character to belt out a rendition of "La Bamba" during the reception.

Meanwhile, Warbin can take comfort that her man will be holding down a job at least through 2002. That's when his megabucks contract's up with ER, though it was just announced the crew at County General will stay around at least until 2004.

While original cast members like George Clooney (and now, Julianna Margulies) have defected, Wyle's been around since NBC's high-rated drama debuted in 1994.

Wyle met Warbin in 1996, while both were working on the set of the indie film, The Myth of Fingerprints, in which Wyle costarred. The pair started dating soon afterwards. He proposed to her over Valentine's Day weekend last year.

It's the first time for both of 'em

Thanks for the great article, Linda. I do have one picky thing to say. I hate the way journalists write that it's someone's first wedding...like you start counting now. It's so pessimistic. I wish they'd said, neither has been married before, which is just a statement of fact and doesn't sound like we're expecting a number two, three, etc. Maybe I live in dreamworld, but I like to think some marriages will last, especially when the couple has waited a while about marrying.

I hope they survive the odds and make it forever!!! Good luck Noah and Tracy!

I totally share your peeve, Diana. I got married 3 years ago and even now I'd be SO OFFENDED if anyone called it my "first wedding" -- and heaven help anyone with the gall to have used that sort of language in my presence 3 years ago!

Divorce happens, that's reality, fine. But in the face of that reality, marriage is very scary. It takes a lot of faith and some courage and maybe even a little self-delusion to get married in the face of those statistics. Members of the press who make light of this leap of faith through comments like that one are incredibly rude.

I saw the picture on the cover of People Weekly (there's a small one on top...Tom Cruise is the main cover) and it is adorable...I am pretty jealous, but the look on his face and the sunny reflections on both their faces is one of the happiest hollywood pictures I've ever seen.

I have to put a quote in for you guys about how they first started dating after a snowball fight: Wyle: "I jammed her face in the snow like an 8-year-old who's not quite comfortable around girls. She took it like a man, and we were off and running from there." Very cute...still a boy at heart. Wyle seems like the ideal guy huh? One more question; they keep mentioning that Eriq LaSalle was there, but what about the rest of the cast? Were the tabloids j/k about GC standing up at his wedding? Unfortunately, according to some hollywood news shows, he would have been in France around that time, and JM would have been away on a new project too. Nevertheless, I hope I'm wrong and they were there to celebrate w/ them.
