Middleboro Complaints

greenspun.com : LUSENET : New England Motocross Racing : One Thread

I have a complaint with the Capeway Rovers. This seems to happen every week I get their early and expect to receive a decent gate pick to only find people who were their two hours later being called in the qualifying race before me. I am willing to settle with taking a bad pick because I haven't been pre entering. The thing that gets me the most is the way they delay calling numbers. As soon as the race before you goes they should start calling the numbers for the next race! The 4 qualifying laps go quick and if you are one of the last several people to be called you have no time to sweep your gate, warm up your bike and get ready. Last week 4/30 at Middleboro I found myself with no time to warm the bike up. The 30 sec board was up just as I started the bike. I got a good start and found myself in third coming out of the whoops. That was it I destroyed the low end bearing and nearly went over the bars. Cold engines aren't made to be pushed that hard. I would also like to thank the other 37 riders who didn't run me over. I know avoiding bikes in the middle of the track can be a challenging thing for some of the other Novice riders.

Take my advise if the bike isn't warm don't push it. I took a chance and paid the price.

i love it how everyone loves to blame their bad finishes on a slow person in front of me.. if that person was so slow why was he in front of you??????... i so sick and tired of hearing people bitch about why they didnt get first was cuz the got stcuk behind slow people.

Call Capeway Rovers and tell Buzzie to have David call you. The phone number is in the NESC book. How about when your number is called and your trying to get through the crowd, alone with your bike, and someone else's mechanic is already on the gate holding it for their rider. I say, "all riders ALONE on the gate until everyone has been called". It's pretty intimidating for a 80 rider to tell some grown up "Ah, that's the gate I want and I got called before your kid."

middleboro southwick +maine care about one thing and its not riders its MONEY. nesc is lucky i did not win the lottery because i will put nesc out business and then all these freeloaders will have to get jobs. iam so sick of coming to these shitty tracks and getting kicked in the groin, they should be thanking us for showing up at these absolutely horrible tracks!
