Title: Water main break disrupts business at industrial park

ESCONDIDO -- An attachment on an 8-inch water main ruptured yesterday afternoon, causing a street to buckle and shutting off water to 14 businesses in an industrial park.

Six Escondido police officers directed traffic near the break, at State Place and Vineyard Avenue. Water was off for about two hours after the break, which happened at 1:46 p.m.

The leak was repaired and crews will be out at first light today to repair the street, said Annette Hubbell, general manager for the Rincon Del Diablo Municipal Water District.
