Nashville + trying to get home = exhausting

Ok I have so mush to type. First I would like to say thank you to Aimee for using my picture.. but what exactly does "hopperized mean"? Second I have to say "hi" to Erin and Erica who I met when I went to Nashville. It was a rather spontaneous trip! I had tons of fun! It was just me and my sister Jenny on a "bonding trip." I never excpected to like Nashville so much but its the coolest little-big city I've seen. It's so colorful. It so hot there! I'm like burnt to a crisp. The show was great. I smiled from ear to ear the whole time. It was short but they played all the right songs. Apparently the guys didn't like the show so much but I was completely satisfied. Adams hair: Oh my gosh I almost didn't recognize him! He's still adorable though. Erin, how's your bit o' birthday tree doing? I hope you had a happy birthday.

I had a helluva time getting home yesterday! We weren't ready to leave anyway but when our flight got to Dallas things went downhill from there. First, Jenny lost her leather jacket on the plane so it went to san fran before she did. Our flight to San fran got pushed back from 3:56 to 6:00 and then to 7:00. By then I wouldn't have missed my connecting flight to oregon so, Jenny put me on a plane to portland by myself and stayed behind without me. We were totally not ready to leave each other. We had plans of listening to music and talking for the 3 hour flight, and of remembering all the great stuff we did in Nashville. But instead I got on a plane by myself.. ofcourse I cried almost the whole way home off and on and probably scared the people on the plane. Except this woman next to me was crying too when I got on... but she wasn't quiet crying she was wailing at the top of her lungs! She kept praying in spanish. She spoke no english at all so the poor thing could never get the stewardess to bring her the right food or drink. I started feeling better when I wasn't the only one. I finally got to Portland at 10 somethign and drove two hours to home. I slept and cryed some more, wondering when Jenny would get home and if anyone would be there to picke her up. She's the greatest. I wrote a log of all the great stuff.. and bad stuff that happened so I wouldn't forget. I really liked Travis too! I couldn't believe how good they were. i meant to buy a CD but I never got around to it. Oh and I also thought it was REALLY neat to see Star. She's pretty and tiny in real life. Have you ever watched any of her movies? shes cute. anyway, I hope the show in Ohio turns out beautifully.

Carly -- i'm sorry to hear about your traveling hell :( i'm glad you had a great time at the show though, and that you got home safe and sound.

re: "hopperized"...as you know, i LOVE that picture you sent me...the only problem was that some of the quality got lost in the file transfer, so it was kinda blotchy. i tweaked it a bunch in photoshop and just couldn't get a clear photo out of it, SO...in my "i'm gonna get this picture up there if it kills me"ness, i decided to run it through a bunch of filters and see what happened. what i came out with looks remarkably like an Edward Hopper painting. i adore the original photo, but i also like the weird distortion and effects after the filtering.

SO...there ya go. the word "hopperized" is an official aimeeism as of two days ago.

this moment of geekdom was brought to you by your one and only webmonster. we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Haha! It still looks cool Aimee. I have to say though it sorta makes them look like Neo from the Matrix when the bad agent smith guy seals his mouth shut. Did you see that or do I sound crazy? That thought makes my mind wander off to thinking about if they didn't have mouths and how funny it would be to listen to Chris try to sing with no mouth. I can just hear this muffled "yeah!" resonating out of nothing. Don't mind me I'm just sitting here cracking myself up with one of those "had to see the picture in my mind to get it" moments. If you get it laugh with me.. If you don't please just ignore my silly state of mind. Thanks for amusing me. I needed that.

I know i'm late on this. i just wanted to say Hi to carly :] My Bit'o birthday tree is looking rather pathetic. Flaky and full of holes lol. half the leaves are missing :] i don't know how it made it home!

I love nashville too. i've always loved tennesse, part of why i was so eager to go back. and those steps that the festival was on was so bizarre. when i had dinner in nashville last summer my friends and i played on those stairs at midnight getting picked up on by the bums. you can imagine my shock to see that the stages were set up on it! :]

i hope your bonding trip went well, your sister seemed awesome. :] even though getting seperated sucks :[ where's she from?

and im glad to see that you liked travis :] they're just so good man! esp. the bass player. and you know that guy that was wearing a hand? the big fluffy hand? it was so cute when fran looked at him and said "i love you." hehe

okay im going to bed now. mwah

I'm quite late with this too, but I wanted to say hi to Erin and Erica. It was great meeting you and Danica (and Tom!) in Nashville. It was a fabulous trip, aside from the flight fiasco on the way home. Erin, I'm sorry to hear your birthday branch isn't doing so well. Hopefully you've had better luck with the lightbulb! I should have given you that wristband to add to your collection of souvenirs. :)
