Anita, would you please hotlink this last one?

I'll stop for now. This stuff happens to people around you every day. God forbid it may even happen to you or to someone you know.

Thanks, Sheeple. I was so busy responding to the first link that I didn't even notice the second two. My time on the internet for today is up. I'll have to read and respond tomorrow.

Pig:

The first link here was again to aa.net. I reviewed that website previously by using the "return to main menu" [or whatever] option. The second link is to another advocacy group for parents who feel that they're innocent and/or feel that CPS sucks. Your links aren't exactly IMPARTIAL. They're ALL designed to dig up the worst horror stories possible and suggest that this could happen to YOU [me!].

What might your alternative be to CPS? What would YOU do if someone reported a case of abuse to YOU? HOW FAR would you go before you removed a child from the home of a suspected abuser, and what "evidence" would YOU consider worthy? If you would NEVER remove a child from an abusive home, please state that as well. How is it that you feel so violated by CPS? Might you relate YOUR story?

IMO, CPS errors on the side of "Where there's smoke, there's fire." I never worried about anyone acusing me of child abuse because I never abused my children. Their father never abused them either, and when we divorced, we got joint custody. Did the kids moan about both parents "ruining their lives"? You betcha. We "ruined their lives" every time we said "NO" to their requests for privileges beyond their age level.

Anita, your being innocent of abuse has no bearing on whether or not you are subject to a CPS investigation that BEGINS with the removal of your child. Of course the links I provided are to sites where CPS abuse is reported. CPS abuses families. I gave you links to the federal law that encourages CPS to take children into custody in order to secure federal funds. I gave you a link to an actual court case where specific CPS tactics to get children to falsely accuse someone were the reason the case was overturned. I gave you a link to an analysis of the CPS that cites the low educational requirements for social workers. Anita, some of the links came from home pages of attorneys and private investigators, but the articles they post on their websites are no less true. The links to legal sites are valid. There are, if you care to look for them, links to court cases where parents successfully sued CPS for wrongful removal of their children, for false reporting by doctors, for false statements by social workers...you have to be willing to look at it, read it all, and think about it.

CPS doesn't play ball fairly. I have personal knowledge of two families in this area who had all of their children taken without knowing why -- in each case, a court order was claimed by the social worker, in each case there was no court order for removal. In each case the social worker lied under oath and claimed to have court orders -- from a different jurisdiction from the children's residence. In each case a subsequent search of court records found no such court orders. In each case, the social worker walked away scot free because of the Good Faith Immunity law. They are granted immunity for their crimes before they commit them.

Can you imagine what the cops could do with immunity like that? Soldiers? They don't have that immunity because only total idiots would think it's a good idea. But anything done for the "good of the children" is covered by law. You have to go to federal court to find them liable for prosecution first, a process that takes years if you can find an attorney who will do it and if you have thousands of dollars to spend -- and after that, if you win at the federal level, all you have done is create a legal liability on their part and you have to begin trying to prosecute and or sue them individually at that point.

I won't belabor you any more. If you haven't been raped by CPS, perhaps your children's families will be. I don't wish it on you, I'm just pointing out that your blind faith in your innocence isn't protection for your grandchildren. Someday, someone you know will be trashed by this system, and then you will believe. Then you will search for links that are "biased" against CPS.

Thanks for the discussion time.
