What attracts you to an entry?--Al

I believe in consensual drawing. (Although in my dating days, it was a great way to strike up a conversation..."Do you mind if I draw you?" They hardly ever said no. Of course, that wouldn't be in the nude, at least not to start out with.)--Al

After thinking about it for a day or two and arriving at one defining conclusion, it has to be for me, previous acquaintance with the writer (journalist / diarist) and the enjoyment and thoughtfulness caused. Splash pages are attractive and do make a shopping stop there to see the text and its contents. But the main attraction is what content the text has, what honesty, what humor, what sympathy, etc., etc. I do read some journals that are as plain as mine, because the personality and thoughts of that person are cogent and sometimes even cause me to change my mind.
