REGARDING THE RECYCLING MOBILE HOMES - IF SOMEONE IS INTERESTED IN GETTING SOME CHEAP MOBILE HOMES TO RECYCLE - HERE IS A TIP TO FIND SOME. RECENTLY I ATTENDED A JUDICIAL SALE AT OUR COUNTY COURT HOUSE. A JUDICIAL SALE IS PROPERTY THAT WAS PUT UP FOR SHERIFF'S SALE BUT NO ONE BID ON. THIS IS PROPERTY THAT TAXES HAVE NOT BEEN PAID ON. AT A SHEFIFF'S SALE, I BELIEVE YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING ALL BACK TAXES. AT A JUDICIAL SALE, ALL BACK TAXES ARE ERASED. I BELIEVE THEY HAVE A JUDICIAL SALE EVERY THREE YEARS. ANYHOW, AT THIS SALE THERE WERE ABOUT 18 PROPERTIES FOR SALE RANGING FROM 14 MOBILE HOMES, TO A "HOUSE" ON .35 ACRES, TO COAL RIGHTS. THE MINIMUM BID WAS $225.00 TO START OUT. ON THE 18 PROPERITES FOR SALE, THEY ONLY GOT A BID ON THE "HOUSE" ON .35 ACRES. AFTER THE SALE IS OVER, THEY INFORM YOU THAT ALL REMAINING PROPERTIES WILL BE PUT IN REPOSITORY AT THE TAX CLAIM OFFICE. YOU HAD A WEEK TO PUT IN A NOTORIZED BID ON THE PROPERTY OR PROPERITES OF YOUR CHOICE. IF YOU WERE THE HIGHEST BIDDER OR ONLY BIDDER - EVEN IF YOUR BID WAS ONLY $1.00, YOU GET IT. YOU WILL HAVE A RECORDING FEE AND SUCH BUT MY GUESS WOULD BE NONE OF THE MOBILE HOMES RECEIVED ANY BIDS. CHANCES ARE THEY WERE IN BAD SHAPE, BUT A PERSON COULD AND SHOULD CHECK ON THE MOBILE HOME THEIRSELF AS THE TAX CLAIM OFFICE DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANYTHING. REGARDING THE "HOUSE" ON .35 ACRES, IT SOLD FOR $2000.00. I FOUND OUT LATER, AS I KNEW THE PERSON IN THE TAX CLAIM OFFICE, THAT THE LADY WHO BOUGHT THIS PROPERTY WASN'T EVEN FROM AROUND HERE - NORTH-WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA - AND SHE DID NOT EVEN LOOK OVER THE PROPERTY. I'M SURE SHE WAS SURPRISED TO FIND HER "DEAL OF A LIFETIME" WAS A BURNED DOWN HOUSE! SO BUYER - DO BEWARE! IN CASE YOU ARE WONDERING, I WAS THERE FOR THE COAL RIGHTS. I JUST FOUND OUT I WAS THE HIGHEST BIDDER ON 3 COAL RIGHTS, AND 1 SMALL LOT. I GOT THE COAL RIGHTS FOR $25.00, $25.00, AND $15.00 AND THE SMALL LOT FOR $1.00. WITH RECORDING FEE AND OTHER CHARGES MY TOTAL BILL WILL BE $200.00 AND SOME. I WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY THE TAXES FOR THIS YEAR ON THE PROPERTIES - SINCE THIS IS THE MAIN REASON FOR THE SALE IS TO GET THESE PROPERTIES BACK ON THE TAX RECORD. I'M SURE THAT THERE ARE OTHER PROPERTIES STILL IN THE REPOSITORY AT ANY TAX CLAIM OFFICE THAT YOU COULD STILL BID ON. SINCE YOU WOULD BE DISMANTLING IT, I'M NOT SURE HOW YOU WOULD GET IT TAKEN OFF THE TAX RECORDS, BUT MAYBE THERE IS A PROPERTY OUT THERE THAT ANYONE COULD GET CHEAP. JUST GO TO YOUR LOCAL TAX CLAIM OFFICE IN THE COURTHOUSE AND INVESTIGATE. SEVERAL PROPERTIES WERE OLD GAS STATIONS AND PROBABLY HAVE UNDERGROUND TANKS - SOMETHING TO STAY AWAY FROM - BUT TO CHECK IS FREE!

Hey, we have a mobile home we'll give away to anyone who wants it. Don't care what you do with it, just get it the heck out of there. I know they're pretty expensive to have moved, unless you can do it yourself. We're in West Central WI. It's sitting on my brother in law's land, and we need to move it. Otherwise, if anyone's got any "recycling" advice, we'd be glad to hear it.
