Look what I found in Magdrop2's Japan mode...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

how about a magdrop2-smeh? There's an extra hard level I guess we call it - starting at level 40 if you run in Japan's country.

In addition, there's three puzzle modes - easy, medium and difficult. Try it! It's quite interesting!(That choice is at the bottom right corner of the game selection screen in JAPAN COUNTRY DIP SWITCH SETTING)

Thanks for reading :)

Yeah Hisa-Chan - Thank N. Kosaka for pointing that out - and yes I looked at it all - it's good at exactly 10,000,000 points.

Actually I found the magdrop2 material out and pointed this out because of a recent recording(showing a win against the black CLAWN (clown?), something we don't have... quite yet.) posted at http://www.mamenavi.com.

Also pointed this out because we don't have those modes at MARP yet - which I hope we'll have shortly.

If you check my original post for Magical Drop 2 (which probably only you can do, Gameboy9), I've beaten Black Pierrot before in MD2--it's not that hard. Now, trying to beat Black Pierrot in Magical Drop 3, playing at full speed, is another matter entirely.

I'll have a look at the Japan mode and then post whether I think we should split or not. Be interested to hear other people's opinions. As far as I'm concerned, it falls under the same sort of category as switching DIP settings in Diamond Dash (or is it Run) and the Secret Levels in Pang!3.

If somebody could direct me to the MAMENAVI section with Magdrop recordings, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanx all, Q.T.Quazar

I say leave the extra Japan games out for now unless someone really wants to play 'em and post. They're pretty damn boring. But that's just my opinion.

OK, I changed my mind. The extra challenge and puzzle modes make it worthwhile to change settings on both Magical Drop 2 and Magical Drop 3. I don't think there's any difficulty difference between Challenge and Survival Modes of equivalent difficulty between Europe and Japan settings, but could someone else try them to make sure, particularly other players who have experience with this game?

Challenge Mode Hard is actually a challenge! What next? :)

Q.T.Quazar, who sincerely apologizes for all the e-nails.
