CR80 Overheating - any help appreciated

greenspun.com : LUSENET : New England Motocross Racing : One Thread

We have tried everything and these bikes overheat, we lose 1/2 our fluid through a moto. We have a 98, a 99 and 2 2000's. They all do the same thing. If anyone has any ideas we would certainly appreciate your input (is there a larger or better radiator available?) Everything is bone stock on them. Friends had the same problem last year and ended up selling them because they couldn't resolve it. I wouldn't do that because someone will just inherit our problems. We need to fix this.

Peggy these are just a few suggestions, but check the radiator cap ,make sure the rubber isn't cracked or torn ,also could possibly be the seal inside the water pump, the head gasket,or {doubtful}, but sometimes a small crack from bad porting.

Can you see it coming out of the overflow tube...ever?...if so it's most likely a blown head gasket
