and in my defense, i'd do it again*

greenspun.com : LUSENET : It's All About Joe 90: The Discussion Board : One Thread

hi everyone :)

our PC is so slow that it took me like, 10 minutes to get here :P

anyways, NC! it was SO wonderful! meeting erica was INSANE and WONDERFUL!! i love how you can talk to people over the computer for weeks and months, and then meet them and feel like you've known them forever!! but erica is great, and she has a kick-ass little pistachio-green bug! she even took me for a ride, for breakfast! yay!

the show was wonderful too*

and hey, did you all know it was craig's birthday?! he played for us and everything! ;)

i should have written down the setlist, but alas, i did not. if my memory serves me (which it may not, right now) they played blurred, ferris wheel (yeah!), flatline static, when you arrive, such is life, lift me up, drive and i think thats it.....anyone? bueller?

i love love LOVE such is life. its incredible, i even like it more than *gone*, which has been of my favorites recently. its beautiful. and i don't think its mournful, like erin said ;)

the disco version of lift me up just didn't do it for me. but at least i can admit to it. im not afraid of the truth, damnit! or conflict! i'm just very fond of the album version, and i don't adapt well to change, i think you all realize that, lol* that, and i'm still holding out for female elvis. someday.

btw, i really wish joe90 would stop stalking us. enough is enough already!

ziggy's was a pretty neat little place, even if the roof WAS nothing more than a tarp. and they were corona fans. i don't think they were serving corona, though. weird.

we had a really great spot to watch the show, it was the second raised level thingy, right in the center. really really great. joe90 was great. did i mention that? cracker was good too, but they played forever. im a cracker fan and all, but they totally stepped over the fine line between a long show and a LOOOOONNGGG show. good to hear cracker soul and eurotrash girl, 2 of my favorites. and low, low is always good live*

the new shirts are very cool. black is always a good color choice. erin, i think you'll approve of them ;)

and yes, i tried to keep it a secret that we were going to NC. then i realized i had told everyone in the free world about it. i was never good at keeping secrets. especially my own.

the weather in NC was beautiful when we left. it was nice when we got there, but it kept looking like it was gonna rain. once it got dark, it was cool and breezey and just wonderful. humid though :P. when barb and i were going home, we had stopped in VA, and then around 9pm we stopped in maryland to eat (or was it delaware) and we stepped out of the car and realized how cold it was. then the next time we stopped was on the merrit parkway in CT, and we REALLY realized how cold it was and had to fumble through our stuff to find sweaters, lol......i think i prefer the cold though* im a yankee at heart, man.

i know this is really long, but i cant help it. there is so much i want to say!

OH, lol...there was ths guy in front and below me, and he must have heard us talking about our trip down or something...it was right before joe90 came on....and he turns to me and goes "where y'all from?!" with this LOOK on his face...and im like "uh....massachusetts?" and he goes "no way! oh my lord!" and i was like "heh heh" and he goes "and you arent even cracker fans?!" and i was like "um....kind of.....we're here for joe90 though!" and then i had to explain to him who joe90 was and stuff. he seemed a bit mortified, though. i think the guy in charge of carding people was a bit mortified when he saw i had a MA license, lol....he kinda stood there for a minute, looking at it. i enjoy shocking people. all in the name of joe90

barb and i got home at 230am this morning! driving through CT in the dark is very nice. because once we hit CT, we are only 2 hrs from home. and the tappan zee bridge is pretty at night.

barb, go towards the light!

ok enough from me for now! thank you girls for going to NC, it was wonderfully wonderful to see you all and be with you again! we had a fantastic time* thank you joe90 for being so wonderful.

< the show was wonderful too* >> This made me laugh...I love being mentioned in other people's posts!! And gave an ERICA review before she gave a JOE90 one...that rocks!! ... I had such a good time with you guys!! My car had a good time with you guys too... I did have a weird moment with chris and my car...I was about to give Craig his CD's but i wanted to make sure that i was giving him the right ones...yes, i listened to his CD's before he got them. I have a CD changer in the trunk, so i pop them in and i am leaning in the front seat trying to hear them...and Chris is now in the car too..i dont remember if he was sitting..i think he was just leaning in (he liked the car too!) but there i was searching these CD's..with him...and i kept turning on Counting Crows CD's...then i found the right ones..and it was strange listening to the joe 90 show..with him there...does that make sense? Have i had too much coffee? Ok, so i decided that i might have to play sick and go to nashville..and then out of nowhere...I get these stomach pains..and a headache... Have i convinced myself that i am sick? I hope i dont really get sick..that would suck!! erica

erica, im glad your car had a good time with me! ;) btw, you are looking awfully sick to me, i think you're coming down with joe90- itis. you'd better get out of work this weekend asap!

thank you craig for the sweet thank you :)

darrel, i'd flock to ya if i could scrape up money for a plane ticket. but yanno how it is.

btw, can you people get some help for your obsessive posting?! like, omg i came home from work and had a zillion emails. i would *expire* my *cookies* but frankly, i like it when the board blows chunks all over my inbox.

aimee, the website looks beautiful*

btw, who's up for norfolk next month?! come on! you know you want to! VA's lovely this time of year!

OH i cant believe no one has mentioned this yet - david lowery was really talkative during their set, and he mentioned something about this guy who was satan and what not....then he put his hands over the mic and was like "come on over to the darkside" and the 4 of us were like :O and then we started laughing and saying how EXPENSIVE the dark side was! it was definitely a joe90-nonjoe90-moment!

im going to sleep tonite. yay! sleep! sleep is good lately. i've been catching up on all the sleep ive missed, heh*

AND before i forget:

jessica and brittany - i just want to say i think you girls are AWESOME for putting that whole benefit show together at your school, and you should be VERY proud of yourselves, its a lot of work, and you both seem like you've put your hearts into it. if i could be there to support you, i would - but instead i will definitely be thinking of you on the big day! good luck and have FUN! i cannot WAIT to hear about it :) heck, i'm even proud of ya!

night*
