Since the F60 does not use the D functionality for its flash system, could any one advise which model of nikkon flash should i go for? What about third party flash??? All recomendations are greatly appreciated.

Have a look at the SB22s if u are on a tight budget. But if U have the cash to spare - 2nd hand Speedlights like the SB24 and SB25 can be had for $250-350(depending on condition) which offer a higher GN, more functions as well as swivel and bounce.

There is also the SB27 - but I'm loathe to recommend it bec of it's use of a bounce card to achieve bounce flash - the card is easily damaged and is fiddly to use.

how about sb-25, its a great flash for nikon. I have a spare one if you want. I can sell it for S$320.
