Why do you pray?

Do you pray because you think it can change an outcome, or because you feel like its the right thing to do?

Or do you pray at all?

All of the above.

Prayer puts me in contact with the love in the universe. It is a time of quiet communion, where I can find out all that is good for me and others. I pray because it relieves stress, because it helps me stop the constant noise, and because it helps me see life clearer. I rarely pray for anything specific, but I will send a prayer of support for all that ask-positive thoughts do make a difference.

I have to admit that when I do I'm normally in some kind of BIG trouble. It works as a method towards feeling better, but I don't kid myself that I'll be receiving favors. I feel that God cares less about us being on our knees, than He does about us trying to help ourselves. I do alot of things that seem like the "right thing to do", but prayer is not one of them.
