Elian exploited check out e-bay auctions

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

E-bay has 139 auctions tied to Elian merchandise.

This one is a picture he "supposidly" colored. Personally I have not seen any 6 year old who could color this well, but I could be wrong in assuming he did not draw it.

Next thing you know the cigars Monica had cardinal knowledge of will be up for sale.

$67.00

so far.

This is a piture from a coloring book colored by Elian. It was purchased by me from a person who has connections with Elian's family. This is a very unique item with no reserve. Please bid early to ensure you're the winning bidder. Buyer pays actual shipping. I accept either Paypal or money order. Please e-mail me with any questions prior to the auction's end. Thanks and happy bidding.

FWIW, I agree it's almost certainly a phony.

My mom taught 1st grade for 18 years. An awful lot of 6-year-old's art came and went in our house. Hundreds of pictures. Notice that the filling in is very smooth, controlled and nearly parallel throughout. The weight bearing down on the tip of the pencil is very uniform from side to side. No 6 year old child I ever saw has that kind of fine motor control with a pencil.

Even if it came from a house where Elian stayed, someone older did the work on this one. If not, Elian's a Picasso clone.

I'm not an artisit, but my mother is, and so is my younger brother. When he was six and I was eight, he was able to color with the kind of control you see in the picture below (I couldn't even stay in the lines!). He went to art school on a full ride scholarship and is now an ink and paint guy for an animation design firm. If I told you the name of his employer, you'd know who they are immediately.

He's the only kid I've seen at that age who was able to color that well.

I've heard there's some of Elian's used toilet paper (in zip-loc bags of course) that's now up for sale.

Maybe the kid is another Picasso?
