SAN MATEO COUNTY / Emergency Landing By United Jet at SFO

A United Airlines jet made an emergency landing at San Francisco International Airport yesterday because of pressurization problems. Flight 2102, bound for Seattle, left San Francisco just before 7 a.m. but returned to the airport a few minutes later, landing at 7:05, according to the Federal Aviation Administration and airport officials.

"They have gauges on the plane to test pressurization," said airport duty manager Kim Dickie. "When they saw that something was wrong, they just turned around and came back."

The plane, a Boeing 737, was carrying 20 passengers and six crew members. No one was injured, and all the passengers were put on the next flight to Seattle.
