It's very easy, Brooke. It's obsessing about possible embarrassment that makes it hard. I know it sounds very cliche but just walk up and ask him. Don't try to plan it out the conversation because it will never go the way you intended. Don't try to map out a location to ask him because you'll never see him in that location again. Do try to do it on the fly--if you see him, just walk up and do it before you have the opportunity to work yourself into a high level of paranoia and fear.

Just relax and do it. If he says no, he says no. No biggie at all, except for what you make of it. Guys have to do this all of the time so it's only fair that we should have to go through the same torture every once in a while as well. That's the way I figure it. Good luck!
