How do you make hot links?

How do you make URL links "hot" so the reader can just click on it to go to the site?

Thanks!

It's easy Sure -

Use this:

title

Remember to leave 1 space between "a" and "href". Replace address above with the link address you're using. Replace title above with what you want to call your link. Do everything else exactly as above with no spaces in between.

That's too funny!! The formula itself created a dead link!

Hmmm...how can I do this? I'll try it this way:

title

Remember... ONLY 1 space between "a" and "href".

I won't quit!

Write this on a piece of paper (it's the formula)-

First put: Then put: what you want to title your link Follow up with: REMEMBER...the only space is between too@funny.com), April 30, 2000.

WOW...that's amazing! I put little pieces of the formula inside separate sentences and it still came out like that!

What next? How about "secret code"? I'll write a story and put the formula in ( ). Pull it out from there ok?

Sure wanted to () the computer was (type what you want to call link) too smart. Debra does not like () she made a secret code. Now remember NO OTHER spaces after the first one!

Damn! Watch this! Formula will come in separate posts...Just write down in order.

First write
-- Debra (
!!!!@!!!!.com), April 30, 2000.

Uggggh!

First write <

-- d (1@1.com), April 30, 2000.

Second write a

-- d (2@2.com), April 30, 2000.

Third leave a space

-- d (3@3.com), April 30, 2000.

Fourth write hr

-- d (4@4.com), April 30, 2000.

Fifth write ef

-- d (5@5.com), April 30, 2000.

Sixth write ="

-- d (6@6.com), April 30, 2000.

Seventh write your link address

-- d (7@7.com), April 30, 2000.

Eighth write ">

-- d (8@8.com), April 30, 2000.

Ninth write what you want to call your link

-- d (9@9.com), April 30, 2000.

Tenth write
-- d (10@10.com), April 30, 2000.

Trying Tenth again... write <

-- d (10@again.com), April 30, 2000.

Eleventh write /

-- d (11@11.com), April 30, 2000.

Number Twelve...write a

-- d (12@12.com), April 30, 2000.

Finish it with >

-- d (13@13.com), April 30, 2000.

Write those on a piece of paper in the above order and you have the formula to link!! Once more...remember...the ONLY space is between number two and number 4.

(I would not have left here until I figured out how to beat this computer!)

On the other hand...if you go to the link David provided "No Spam Please" did this whole thing with magic! LOL

-- Debra (thestubborn@one.com), April 30, 2000.

Debra, I thought you said it was easy. 8^)

The reason you couldn't get a "<" to appear in a post is that a "<" will always be interpreted as the beginning of an HTML command. I got around this by typing a special sequence that has been defined to display as "<" but doesn't involve actually typing a "<" character. I'm reluctant to say more about it, because if done incorrectly it can really screw up a thread.

David -

It's probably best you say no more. When I have too much power in my hands I usually blow things up! LOL

(although I really am curious!)

You know what's really funny? It can all be read in "view source". DUH!
