Voltage Drop Shuts Japan Reactor TOKYO (AP) -- A nuclear reactor in western Japan automatically shut down Saturday after voltage dropped below the normal level, Kyodo News agency reported.

There was no radiation leak at the plant in central Fukui prefecture, nearly 200 miles west of Tokyo, officials at the reactor said, according to the agency.

Japan's worst nuclear accident, on Sept. 30, 1999, at a fuel-processing plant in Tokaimura, took the lives of two workers. AP-NY-04-29-00 0957EDT<
