Just curious

Since one of the premises of your book was that you don't have "a nose" for knowing if a play, TV program, etc., will be a hit, I am wondering if you had any idea of how "In The Heat Of The Night" would gain such a following, not only in its original run, but also even now. There are many of us who drop everything to watch it when it's on. Regards, Serena

That's right, Mr. O'Conner, I am an RN and in the hospital that I work in, in Tempe, AZ, as I go into every room in the morning, guess what they ALL watch, Heat of the night. Do have to say it was a great show, but, and I'm sure you've heard it a million times before, what a great actor you are, to conjure up an accent and believable guy like Archie, and then follow it up with something else so totally different. It's amazing. Thanks for all the good entertainment.
