What is the easiest way to make VCDs

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

As you can tell by the subject line, I'm looking for the easiest way of make VCDs. Will it work if I created a .DAT file and copied the file system onto a disc and run it? I'll leave it to you people to help me in this department.

Probably the easiest way remains using a VCD-authoring application like Easy CD Creator, WinOnCD, Nero, etc. Creating the required MPEG- 1 *.dat file for VCD is best left to them, as is authoring so that White Book is respected. If you feel you can and should do everything bit by bit then you can use apps like CDRWin.

I found some videoRecorder which is a recorder that use a regular cdr to copy a video, work just like a vhs but instead of using tape it use cd-r. (www.kaiser-elec.com)
