Let me answer for Carroll:

This is an 'experimental' forum that works in a different way than the 'Network 54' forum. This forum operates in a 'Question and Answer' mode and may be better at preserving interesting exchanges and essays. We're keeping the original forum going for the present, as we explore this software. We'd like to encourage people to 'try out' this forum, particularly as regards to asking Carroll questions on various topics.
