World's biggest short squeeze? Go long baby, margin the kiddies!

For the last 50+ years, 3 indicators have accurately predicted every major market drop within a few days or weeks, and indicated when to reenter the markets. I consider ALL other predictors as unreliable. The indicators are: (Any ONE = major drop signal) 1) Falling inflation; > 4% negativechange over last year's CPI (not even close now) 2) public (market) sentiment bullish above 70%, then dropping. (not even close today) 3)Inverted yield curve (30 year treasuries vs 30 day commercial paper) THIS RED WARNING LIGHT HAS BEEN ON SINCE just before the big market drop. AND IS STILL ON. If Greenspan doesn't drop the discount rate soon, another major drop is emminent. If another 1000+ point drop happens, the bottom is a long, long way down. Like DOW 4000, 15+ years to breakeven in constant dollar value for the buy & hold crowd. If Greenspan acts soon & the yield curve corrects prior to a big drop, the ballon could keep expanding for a good long time. A VERY interesting few months lie ahead.

GL,

Why do you think a Short Squeeze is imminent? Is short interest that high? Most people are heavily long in equities and buying on dips as the pros are selling.

GL, thanks for the StockCharts.com site recommendation. I see that Clive is talking about a "Bear Squeeze" rather than a Short Squeeze. Does anyone know what is meant by a Bear Squeeze?

GL, your limerick doesn't rhyme, better let Ra work on that one.

I see some of you didn't finish reading the article. Short squeeze and bear is the same. HELLO Clive is saying that if the bears start to cover in the gold market, we will have market history of all markets. In other words the price rise will be beathless and I don't think anyone expert could say where it stops. Gold $275 today could be ???? $600 to thousands of dollars. Jury is still out.

GL,

Why don't you just say you're talking about a short squeeze on GOLD? What else will be "squoze"? Certainly not most equities!
