She will also be one of the main speakers on C SPAN starting now (4:40PM). She and the fisherman were quite upset about what happened to them with negotiations underway. This was kinda like Pearl Harbor with negotiations underway and then do a sneak attack. I wonder how many millions of dollars this has cost the Federal Government alone? Nope. Not a hawk fan. Not a female. Not a homosexual. Just pointing out that some people on this forum seem to attack the popular people to attack. When someone is attacked without CURRENT provocation, I will say something about it. I enjoy civil discourse. This is why I have said before that I do not agree with the methods Hawk employs to defend himself.

I WILL say that I have had civil discourse with Hawk on other threads and he has shown an understanding of esoteric, metaphysical topics that few I know understand, topics which require an above-normal degree of intelligence. He does have a certain brilliance for certain topics.

I did not agree with his MD-80 assessment, but I also disagree with people bringing it up every time they disagree with him. This type of character assassination does nothing to further a discussion. What people are basically saying is that, since he had what they feel was a crazy idea, he can no longer make a valid point on any thread. I do not agree with this.

If he were to attack someone else without cause, I would call him on that, also.

To summarize, I am a fan of civil discourse, not a fan of Hawk's per se.

Upon further reflection, I see what you mean about the "admission of being a female".

What I don't understand is the part about the sysop abusing power. Other than knowing who is who among those who post under more than one name, what unethical or underhanded acts has the sysop committed with this knowledge.

As far as I can tell, OTFR pretty much keeps hands off unless someone starts going off about racism or making heinous accusations against a forum member. Even then, the censored posts are available in the Deleted Threads section.
