What do you think about late at night when you're putting off things that you really should have done last week?

Unfortunately it is usually the "what if" game in life. How did i get here is usually a close second.

I don't have a tendency to procrastinate so instead I worry about the things that -Travis- has procrastinated about (being the anal retentive nag that I am) and if I'm not doing that it's because I'm too damn tired for anything to keep me awake. Oh wait, I also stay up worrying about upseting Meghan when I haven't updated in over three days. Honest, I do.

You should worry about upsetting me when you don't update for three freakin' days! Do you have any idea how much trouble some people (not that I'm mentioning names, Piper!) are going to be in when they get their asses back here? Ooh...I smell a can of whoopass being opened...

i am having so much fricking fun with this forum. i mean it. thank you meghan. and especially for this question, which is a fun one. so let's see: -of course, i worry myself into a sick panic about those things i should have done. -turn off. veg right out and watch VH1 insomniac music videos until they end. that right there is pretty sick. -read a book all night long. no, of course not one for school. like Memoirs of a Geisha, or (last night) The Fellowship of the Ring. and then i wonder why i sleep all day the next day. -sort through email, or read online journals, surf looking for websites with harps on them and drool over them, lusting for a large harp of my own. -play mindless computer games like freecell and dxball till my eyes dry up and drop out of my head. -play on napster, looking for cello music and other things, and trying to figure out what to look for. -every so often, i sit down on my bed and actually try to accomplish some of my work. then of course, i instantly fall asleep.

Falwyn, I so relate to your answer!!!! I'm the same same way!!! Yeah, like now...even though its morning for once....I'm normally up wondering what project I should be doing...i procrastinate and procrastinate...do everything else I should not be doing and go into a full fledged panic to get whatever it is done in a very short amount of time. Like three papers due this week... One due tomorrow which I haven't really started on....and thats after I work my twelve hours today! Grrrr... Panic panic panic!!!!

No need to call me Anna - call me queen of procrastination. I'm handing in an English project this morning - guess who just printed it out? Exactly. Argh.

Tee hee. Couldn't resist adding to this discussion, since you know I'm as much of a night owl as you are. So let's see...I download songs from Napster, surf the web, watch whatever movies are on the movie channels, make midnight snacks (I eat more between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. than I do in the afternoon/evening), update my journal (when I'm feeling inspired), read all my friends' journals, have long conversations on AIM (when I'm not avoiding snooping relatives who are also on AIM), read, channel surf, and generally do ANYTHING I can think of to keep my mind off how far behind I am in all my classes. (Just thinking about that makes me panic and feel physically ill. Okay, no more thinking about that.) Sounds like I'm not alone in that--I find that somewhat reassuring. Hmm...maybe we could form a Procrastination Queen webring--I think we've all claimed that title at one point or another! ;)

Sorry......kids.......I am the Queen of Procrastination!!!!!!!

I have a long paper due tomorrow....and a clinical competency....and a quiz.......all of which.....I don't have a clue!!!!! No clue!!! The quiz and comp. test.....forget it......I am going to fail both. As for the paper.....eek.....I'm supposed to work tonight but I have a bad feeling I'm calling in AGAIN. I'm s-l-o-w when it comes to writing papers....so it will take all night probably!!! Grrrr...

Of course, I'm sitting here playing in the forum, ready to jump on Napster, and panic, take a nap since I'm tired and drink about a gallon of coffee and or juice and snack on everything in the refrigerator before I actually sit and write it...so I'm thinking it will be around 9 pm tonight when I actually start writing it. I gathered some notes on the net for it but it looks like I can't really use them for what my teacher wants on the paper!!!! Grrrr...

Well, sometimes I'm idiotic enough to actually dwell on that which I'm avoiding. But when I'm not...

Web surfing when there's not much to look at, channel surfing when there's absolutely nothing on, snacking even when there isn't much to munch on, anything BUT what I should be doing.

Hey, maybe we should start up a procrastination webring, or a burb, or somethin'... that is, if one doesn't already exist...
