1) Is there a way to type in a game like Galaga and it will list all the different ver., clones, and any game related to it. Another example would be like entering Pcaman and all games related to Pacman would come up to view scores for.

2) How do I change my email address once I come to the board to post a message. It has my old addy and I have to keep changing it.

Thanks in advance. Steve Krogman

(1) Some of the site gurus may be able to help here. I think the short answer is no, the search engine on MARP doesn't currently do this. An indirect way is to run MAME with a command like

mame -listclones galaga

to get your clones listing and hand enter them on the MARP search page.

(2) I think you need to ask server to 'expire your cookies'. When you submit a board item look for a line at the bottom of your browser that says

Note: if the default name/email above aren't correct, you can ask this server to expire your cookies.

Well you can't do it directly - not yet - but what you can do is type "galaga" in the short name box, and it will list all games that have the name "galaga" in it. So it would show you galaga, galaga3, etc.

What will help you here is if you put your mouse over the screenshot, that link is intended to show you hits of the game AND it's clones - although it shows you no hits at the point(and I believe we're trying to fix that), you can do some searching(unfortunatly more than one) to see all the scores of each game and they're clones.

Tim is correct with question 2, you'll want to expire your cookies (which is at the bottom of the window for typing your messages) and recreate it after you submit another board item. Let the emailing of recipients go through and then it will ask you to create a cookie(or maybe that's before it does that...)

Hopefully this will help you Steve - and welcome back to MARP :)

Thanks guys. It's nice to feel welcomed back. I brought the first question up because being that I've been away for so long, I did see at one point there was Galaga clones that played exactly like Galaga but weren't called Galaga. Basically another name but the same gameplay. Another good example is to be able to see all the Arkanoid related games that come up other then Arkanoid it self (arkanoid, arkanoid-revenge of DOH, and arkanoid tournement edtion. Wait, this isn't emulated yet? :)

I'll try reseting my cookies tonight after I dip a couple in my milk. :)

Thanks again,
