Tale of two babies

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

Two babies are in the womb talking to each other. Call them Ego and Spirit.

Spirit says "You know, I can't really explain it, but I have this overwhelming feeling that there's life after birth."

Ego says "Huh? What are you talking about. This is all there is. Its dark, its crowded, its wet."

"No, I really feel that there's something else out there," Spirit continues. "And you know what else? I think that there's a Mother."

Ego is beside himself. "Why would a Mother stick us in a place like this? And put us through all these changes? No way"

Spirit is confident. "You know all these pressures we're feeling? You know how it feels like we're just gonna run out of room one day? Well, I think that there's a bright light in our future. An 'other worldly' light."

Ego laughs and says "Man, you are one whacked out fetus to believe that!"

Birth canal opens.

Ego: "Whoaaaaa!"

Spirit: "Cool. Hi Mom!"

Nice little allegory, Al. So, how do stillbirths, birth defects, and the death of the mother during childbirth fit into this picture?

Spirit: Cool. Hi Mom! Ego: Oh, no! Mom's dead!

Brian:

Great answer. I always like your insight and analysis.

I've always found that allegory is resorted to when logic won't suffice.

It's a great allegory and you guys know it. Let's not over analyze things. :)

Typical Christian answer. It's cute alright, just like all the bible stories. All very creative, but none stand up to logic.

ANAL LIES,

My point exactly in the other threads you have posted on....TROLL ALERT!!!

Why must you always start crap? So you dont believe in whatever, so what, is it a MUST that you clarify that to EVERYTHING you post?

Grow up.

consumer:

Um, Ann A. Lyze expressing his/her opinion differs from every other voice here HOW exactly?

LOL cin!

I read your first post and went back up to re-read Brians. Then went back to re-read yours and up again to Brians. I gave up thinking I missed something.... and then I read your second post.
