Wow--this wasn't what I intended when I started this introductory topic, but that doesn't mean I want you guys to stop. :-) Thank you, thank you, thank you for these so very lovely messages and your good wishes and your personal emails and everything else. You have really been here for most of this journey with me, and knowing that you were here when I was at my lowest makes these posts even more special to me. Dora, hand those tissues over here, would you?

I don't usually do things (forums, I mean), but I'm making an exception for you, Mel!

Your journal is reading like the most wonderful love story these days; it warms my heart just to read it.

What Elspeth said.

I agree with Elspeth; and what makes it even better is the fact that it's really happening - it isn't something we're seeing on TV or in the movies. I can't wait to read each new journal entry. It makes me happy to see you so happy!

Yes, I love the happiness too! We all know Mel deserves the happiness.

And all this whirlwind romance reminds me of the early days with Dave, and I love those memories.

Melissa, I still maintain that our love lives run weirdly in parallel. So you better take damn good care of your amazingly wonderful relationship, 'cause I don't want to lose mine. ;) Anyway, just wanted to say woohoo! about the new forum. I'm off to babble about long distance relationships now.

Melissa! It's wonderful here! I love all the love floating around on the site latey! Makes me giddy for you!

You should get your love sick butt on over to mysideofthebed.com forums and gush more there! I love the gush!

Hey, I just read the entry. Nine hours. That is perfect. God knows you deserve this. I am so happy for you...

Who flies up the eastern seaboard just for nine hours? A gift, that's who....I'm so happy for you Melissa. In many ways this reminds me of my own amazement in the first few months of my relationship with my husband. I wish you all the best.

Reading your most recent entry, Melissa, was kind of like reaching that part in a movie where your eyes just fill with tears because you're so glad to see something good happen for a character that you've been rooting for. Only this is real life, and you're a real person, and so this is even more wonderful. Someone please pass the Puffs Plus.

Wow, nine hours. Well if you weren't sure if it was real before you must be now.

As Dora said the best thing about this for us singletons? Magic happens, it's real. If you believe.

Great to see how happy you are Mel, and thank you for sharing it with all of us.

Mel, you know, if I didn't adore you, I'd be insanely jealous. ;)

But, seriously, I am happy beyond words for you. You deserve this, girl! It's about time you got to write about the beautiful side of love again.

And, you know, it gives me hope...

Mel,

I must say that reading your journal only supplements the experience of working with you and witnessing your feelings for John first-hand. You know that I think it's a wonderful thing and I'm very excited for you. It's fun to see you so happy! I'm glad that you choose to share it with me and your readers.
