If Your Ancestors Came From Israel/Palistine, Are You Asian American?

Israel is in Asia. If your ancestors came from Israel, wouldn't that make one an Asian-American?

If they came from Turkey, would you be Asian-American?

If your ancestors came from Morocco, you would be African-American, I guess.

What if you're an Afikaaner (Dutch descent) from South Africa who immigrates to America?

Retard:

Yes, for the most part; but I seem to remember that a small part of Turkey is in Europe. A pourous mind may be wrong.

Best wishes,,,,

Afrikaner in Manhattan? African-American, surely.

A black African-American is sometimes called a sub-Saharan African-American. But an Afrikaner in Manhattan would also be a sub-Saharan African-American - and white.

Probably better if all were just called "Americans" without the hyphenated baggage. stuff.

Z: Your memory is excellent. A very small part of Turkey is in Europe, bordering Greece and Bulgaria. It's called Turkish Thrace. (Of course I looked it up. I never even heard of Turkish Thrace three minutes ago.)

I thought that area was called Asia Minor. Wouldn't that make them Minor Asian-Americans? Or would it be Asian Minor-Americans? How about Mini-Americans for short?

But wait, since Canada and Mexico is in America, shouldn't Mexicans and Canadians be called Americans too? And if an African comes to Canada, but he's white, does that make him an Canufriker, or a FreakinNuker? If he comes to Mexico, but he's black, does that make him a Mexicaner, or a Sub-Americaner?

I think United-Statesters are called Yanks around the world because it's easier to pronounce and remember. But the blacks are called Yanksters.
