i kow this is old, but i have to post. i love speedy people!! i hate to see my monster get constantly hit, it just gets on my nerves, i get satisfaction in seeing the other monster miss!!!

and another thing, when my monster hits sombody, and it does crappy damage, i see that as an insult, as, my monster cant do any decent damage, i like to see the monster easily KOed, it makes my monster look strong, it not just that, its that i think my monster is crappy when it doesnt do any good damage (good damage to me is more than half, great is 90-100%)

and i hate to see my monster miss, i think i hate that most. i hate fightning with my jill that has 340 somehtin ski, even tho, my snowstorm usually hit 2 outta 3 times! i guess im just lucky, but

anybody else agree?

the monsters i hate MOST, are the ones with good life, but crappy defense. i dont hate POW based monsters (my second fav is bajarl!), but i hate slow, skilless monsters. they cant hit anybody, but they get hit.

whats your opinion?

[durahan is cool, because he has good pow and ski, but if he didnt have good skill...]

oh yeah, my next monsters are gonna be plant, niton, and metalner. im trying to start training monsters with other strategys. im thinkin about niton/metalner, would that be any good? what would be the best niton? im thinkin about plant/monol, it looks the best, cause its simeple, but anyways, help out on the niton situation

They both have their advantages and disadvantages. Speed Demons don't have to worry about withering attacks for 2 reasons, it most likely wouldn't hit, and most speed demons have a great guts regen, but then there's always that chance to be blasted to the next dimension in one super-lucky hit...

Tanks, more reliable.

Is that Plant/Monol based off of what I told you in our IM conversation? Well, good luck...I can highly reccommend that choice. Also, when a creature has high Life but not high Defense, be sure to check out its Speed (if you don't think Life and Speed can work well together, you haven't faced a Gaboo). Overall, the best monster to use depends on who you're facing. If the monster has concentrated on Skill over Power/Intelligence, then a Tank IS a great monster. If they concentrate on force over accuracy, then Speedsters rule the day. If they do both, then you basically just need to take'em down quick. I can appreciate either type of strategy, but even when I set out to max out one or more of a creature's stats, I still like to make sure all of its stats are over 400, otherwise you have too much of a weakness. A monster with 999 Defense and 1 Speed is a pushover, in my opinion (just use powerful attacks or withering moves), just as one with 999 Speed and 1 Defense is (hit it once with a Hit Tech and it dies). Overall, though, I suppose Speed Demons work better for those who don't have a 4th-generation crop of monsters to work with, because Tanks also have to worry about their Power/Intelligence. Even if you have 999 Defense, if you only have 1 Intelligence, Int-based attacks will still hit for good damage. Speedsters have their own problems, though...if you're not using a One-Hit Wonder or Antagonizer strategy, you run a huge risk of the computer getting one lucky shot and killing you (not just KO'ing you, KILLING you). Overall, that's why I prefer remotely well-rounded monsters. Thank you.

trey i'm raising a niton/metalner as we speak, in order to help the man with his tech chain listing. i'll let you know how he turns out. so far, 1 yr 4 mos, still in stage 1, despite battling and going on errantry, to try to get in as much tech chain investigation as possible. i'll tell you, his guts regen is phenomenal!

nate, my opinion is not as complicated, or as intelligent as yours, i simply dont like to see my monsters get hit alot, i also liek to see them miss me, thats just the way i am, i do like my jill tho, it would be perfect if it had 500-600 skill.

torey, yes!! PLEASE keep me updated, how are its stats? what does it get on each drill, and how does it fight, yeah, i tried it out on the ranch, took it to an E clas battle, and wheeew! it guts are as fast as metalners!!! imagine a monter with the guts and skill of a metalner, ***equiped with a move with B force, *C accuracy*, and A WITHERING MOVE, WITH B accuracy and withering, FOR 20 GUTS!, i think it will turn out great with maybe 700 skill, 500-600 pow, plus, it will have great defense! i came up with the niton/metalner idea because i thought of a monster like metalner, with awesome moves, and the first thing that came to my mind was niton

-- trey (treymjb@aol.com), March 31, 2000.

oh yeah, nate, i did not just come up with the plant/monol idea just from what you said, i thought that because that, and the jell mix, are the only plant thats i dont think are ugly, thats it! but now im thinkin more the jell mix cause i looked at the thread about what each monstere would be good at, and i think jell would be a better mix

-- trey (treymjb@aol.com), March 31, 2000.

plus, i would hate o have even worse speed, you know i like speed

Down with Speed Demons Haill tanks I hate cheap ass speed demons like ordorf ,Carmine and Daina I hate fast monsters thier sooooo cheap!

-- Rion Beyolve (twopaclives@hotmail.com), April 01, 2000.

i can see how u would say that, like if they had 999 speed, and about 100 defense, but my monsters have good speed and defense, i cant understand why someone would want to see their monster get hit, constantly...

-- trey (treymjb@aol.com), April 01, 2000.

Hare's are a great combination if you are not sure about a tank or Speedster. My Evil Hare (blak) got a KO on Carmine with 999 damage using Big Bang one hit first try. This wasn't even a maxed power Hare. His power was 700-750(don't remeber Exact Power, But he got power ability right after being hit by Death Energy)As for speedsters The best would be Ghosts (My Chef had Maxed Speed at about 3 years!)
