Length of life also depends greatly on raising style. Try reading some of the messages in Raising Methods section.

I can't swear this is absolutely true, but a friend of mine claims to have had a Golem live to be nine years old. ((shrugs shrugs)) I don't know who lives longest... I prefer a powerful, winning monster over one who is guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Yes, Golems live pretty long, as do Worms, Beaclons, Bakus, Katos, and Bajarls. I think the Bajarl may live as long as a Mock or Wracky, actually...I'm raising one now and it took the thing three years to reach maturity!

It's a possibility! I have a Poseidon (Golem/Jell) that is 8yrs. 5mo. without any peaches. Granted, he's REALLY going down hill, it's quite possible to get longer lives. I just haven't raised a monster to get peaches in some time, so when I ran out, it hurt! Plant, Mock, Kato, Golem, Wracky, and Jill are the most notorious for lifespan. Shortly followed by the Phoenix and Monol.

As for sub types, they DO effect a monster's lifespan, but not by THAT much! Tiger, Joker, and Dragon sub types have the biggest decrease in lifespan (for their species). Still, these are good sub types that are worth a try, even if they DO shorten tour monster's lifespan a little.

Wracky,Mock,Golem,Baku,Worm,Beaclon,Durahan,Kato all live long. If you raise them properly and have a really good technique when raising them all these monsters should be able to live or 9 years. Also multiple generations help to get rid of life deficency to an extent. Combining using Plant or Mock chips increase lifespan. Gold and Silver peaches add even more life. With sub breeds also you add more life or less life depending on the sub breed. So all in all well raised monsters and combining make almost all monsters live fairly long.

the longest i ve heard a monster live was a phoenix who lived 10 years that was my cinder bird phoenix. he is the best!!

I have a Garuda (Durahan/Phoenix) in my freezer that's lived for 10yrs. 5mo., has 7 techniques, and is a second generation of a resulting "it doesn't look so good" combination. I'm not the only one with long-lived monsters, though. RNA has a Wracky that lived 11 (I think). Check the raising threads to learn how to create your own champion monster.

i agree with The Man. a multiple-generation monster could be made to live fairly long, even if the breed has a very short lifespan, if you use plant and mock disc chips in combining and gold and silver peaches on your monster. i myself had an 8th generation Flare Death (joker/dragon) that reached 9yrs 6months, and its all becuse ofthose discs and peaches!
