rare monster review

jill-The most underated rare monster in game in my mind nobody seems to talk much about them probobly since their so hardto get but they rock my jill Jay-jay -is(purebreed first gen) at Life 612,Power-879,intelligence-999,skill-554,Speed 276,Defence-455.these guys kick ass they can handle their ground at both end of the court if they want a magic fight he'll summon his ice attacks if they want up close and personal he'll use his boxing attacks and beat his opponents to a pulp.At 455 defence(yes iknow i sould raise his def.)Zelandia and Drewguard(opponents from the major4) can hardly even get over 300 damage if they use physical attacks .Overall this monster is one of the greatest in my opinion and definetly worth the trouble of getting. Dragons -Man was I exited when i got my first dragon tusk ,but on the ranch this monster was the biggest dissapointment i have ever come across in this game its no its looks(they look cool by the way)its not its powerful attacks ,its the damn lifespan i treid to take the trouble of raising a 2nd generation dragon from my first one and it lived for 4 years and 1 month not giving me enough time to max out a stat and it only went on two errantreis and fought on 4 tourneys these monsters would be great exept for its huge lifespan handicap oh well cause I dont have a mr1 cd I used dragons instead it only lasted 2 months of my harsh training and one free for all tournament .

nxt issue pheinex and zilla

It's nice to see you weighing the pros and cons of the secret monsters. You should find out that Phoenix is a natural long ranged fighter, but mediocre close. You should also find out that Zilla isn't the tank that most make it out to be. Instead, it is more like a house, choosing to fall on its' oppenents rather than slug it out (Auntie Emm, Auntie Emm). Likewise, you'll find out that the Durahan is not a speed demon, despite its appearence. Anyways, (didn't mean to steal your thunder) I am looking forward to further reviews, especially Centaur. I might have trained mine the wrong way, before.

as for the jills, i havnt had my luck using one. it was just for, "o another unlocked monster. but on dragons, dont underestimate them. i have a training method so hes indestructable. start off feeding tablets. the light drills in either intelligence or power. by about year three, if first generation, it should be around 650-800 .then work on skill and intelligence. send on errantries for, a mid short, mid long and long range attack. If you use a regular dragon then this wont work. try hound dog. i had one of mine live 5 yrs. but since having 12 moves when first generation that took some chunks of lifespan. it should live about 5-7 years. train another monster about the same, then combine. do the same thing with that. combine with mock/plant disc chips. your next monster will live longer and their specialty will be about 275-500 depending on how well you train it. then same thing but this time when it specialty reaches 3 stars, do this, light, hard, light, rest. now stop its specialty at 950 (battling will finish the rest. dont worry about erratnry this time bcuz it has some of its parents moves, just have one for each range. then start working on meditate/power twice after something has 950 or greater. my hound dragon lived 7yr 7months- one gold one silver peach. beat d class bfore itwas one. b class bfore it was 2. then started the real training. by year 5 beat s class, never stimulated, then in a period of 2 years beat all of major 4, then legends cup, found big footprint, beat elders cup. hall of famer- Paddlin Pete life 645, power 999, int 746, skill 947, spd 345, def 462. not bad im currently raising a dodongo- right now 5 yr just starting to fall our of its prime. 3rd generation

Jill is the only monster I haven't unlocked. I just can't beat that Big Hand!

The key to defeating the Bighand (Jill/???) is speed. Although, most Jill species seem to have moderately accurate techniques, the Bighand isn't able to "hit the broad side of a barn" if your monster possesses enough speed. After that, just hope that your monster stays at long range, because Ice Meteor and Ice Spike is less accurate than 1-2 Straight and Clap Attack. I tried it twice with my very first Durahan, and he would stand there until his guts were full, allowing the Bighand to attack. I tried it later, with my Mock, and Leaf Cutter and Twister erradicated the mysterious Jill. MR2 is pretty much a game of luck, but stats have MUCH to do with it.

I must agree with Eagle above... My Phoenix rocked the Bighand in a rather spectacular Fire vs Ice battle, but Bighand never had a chance due to my Phoenix's (Gatchaman) very high speed. I can't remember what it was back then, it's gone into the mixing pot for a 2nd gen Phoenix whom I have named Toro.
