problems with niton and undine

ca ne1 help me on unlocking the niton/undine breeds iv raised a hopper/kato to B class and nada does the hopper have to be a purebread or a particalar subbreed your help is aprecciated

I believe that it can be any sub-breed. Mine was a Hopper/Tiger. If I were you, I would try 2 things. First, save your game and play through for a while, if he doesn't dig you up some hot springs, reload your game and try again. Some people say it must be dug up in winter, but mine was early Spring. Second, if it still doesn't work, freeze your Hopper and raise your Breeder Rank. That usually works. Good Luck.

i used a an emerald eye(hopper/bajarl)and i might sure it was very well and stress free the first day of winter,which is dec 1st week. he was b-class. just try to have him very well and stress free at least once a month in the winter,and you should get your hopper to dig up the springs.

i think that for certain things to occur, which of course are not dependent on the monster's rank, such as for durahan's double edge etc.,raising the hopper's rank to A might increase the probability of the event to occur?

oh well hehe cuz mine was a hopper tiger ready to retire at rank A and it dug up the hot springs in december also. but i do think it has to be december. :)

well i tried to get the hopper to dig the springs at level B and he didn't. So i froze him. You have to get to 4th rank before you can dig up the hot springs. Your hopper does not have to be higher than level B though. When i got 4th rank, i unfroze it and he dug mine up on 2nd Wk Dec.

My Purebred Hopper was able to get to B-class in December. and on the 2nd week of January, he hit it.
