is it true that i shouldnt praise a bad monster if he wins a fight or does great in drills or got a technique? and i also shouldnt scold him if he cheats? what should i do if he fails a drill or an errantry?

This will keep your monster bad so he can learn the evil techs. If you want to change it's nature to good, go ahead and praise or scold when you are asked to.
