Finally greenspun.com : LUSENET : Monster Rancher 2 : One Thread -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hehehehe... i finally beat the legend cup with a first gen Phoneix, even though its the year 1064, stats: lif 400+, pow 200+, int 999, ski 500+, spe 350+, and def 250+, see you don't need all those super high stats to win, though it does help. unfortunatly do to the fact that i had to send him to errentry a bunch of times, (mainly to kill big hand), he only lived for 4years and 2months, Rest In Peace, Cinder, the first and hopefully not last monster i get into the Hall of Fame

That's about the same stats as my first M4 competitor, Hope (also a Phoenix, but she had around 600 Speed and lived about a year and a half longer). I'm impressed that you managed to beat Poritoka like that, though...you must have gotten in the first (and only) attack of the match. My first Legends Cup winner was Gift Bringer (Jr.), a second-gen Satan Clause (Wracky/???, I used a gameshark to change its race because the mystery mix looks the coolest, in my opinion). It had 990 Speed, 600+ Life and Defense, 800+ Intelligence, 450+ Power, and 500+ Skill.

those are some good stats, im kinda not sure who Poritoka is but i have a real easy idea for beating all the tough monsters, mainly most , just let him attack you with his really bad physical/psychic attacks, (mainly headbutt and press, becuase they don't do alot and they don't hit often, both are in the 2nd collum, then when you guts max out and his guts at about 20-40 attack him, i used heat stream (or whatever move were the lava rolls over your oppenent) it did over 900 damage, of course it did only have a 51 percent chance of hitting hehehe... im think im special now

your right,all of those people are just weak because they can't win any thing without a strong monster (all I had was every thing at level 10 and I still got to s rank)just goes to show you the inpossible can happen.
