Um....I think Hound Knights LIKE me ^_^ greenspun.com : LUSENET : Monster Rancher 2 : One Thread -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OK. After getting off the net last night, I was bored so I thought, "Well, I don't feel like raising a Celious yet...I'll combine Freeze Blade with the Striker (Naga/Tiger) I raised after him to make another Hound Knight". So I did. Stats weren't that great..even with the Crab's Claw. But since the parent's Ski was at 999, the offspring's skill was at 395. I'm thinking "Wow. Good Ski. stat. Power is good..not over 200 in Power...or anything else...but still good skill. I guess he's a keeper." So I was raising him just for fun. At first he was sucky at the Shoot drillm getting failure after failure. But since this was mainly for fun, I decided "Eh. No biggie." But then he was getting anywhere from 7 to 13 points in the Shoot exercise...and he was only about 4 months old! Then he was going Great in that exercise for, like, 5 times in a row. His stats in Ski. was skyrocketing and I had no idea WHY. Safe to say, last night I raised him and got him into the Hall of Fame! And he KO'd Most in one Slash Combo! .... But when compared to Freeze Blade's stats, it makes me wonder how much better a 2nd gen is to a 1st gen monster. But compare these stats to Freeze Blade's.... Name: Frost Knight

Answers Oh, BTW, he's still goin pretty strong and gettin +6 usually in the Run drill. I guess he's slightly out of prime, but not so far that he's getting +1 like Freeze Blade was when he won the Legends Cup. Laters!

A Durahan with 999 SKI?BRRRRRRRR,thats scary.Hound Knights are great!!!!And Slash Combo is the FUNNEST to watch.I still haven't tried a Durahan/Joker or Durahan/Metalner yet.BUt so far Hound Knight and Undine were the best.

of course that koed odorf he has 999 skill. i wish i had a monster that koed odorf in one hit all mine take 2. even heat wave. and cel you seem to know alot about durahan. do you know if death bringer is a one hit k-o.

Although Death Bringer is strong, I usually don't get it. Slash Combo is pretty strong and Death Bringer takes away from your own HP and if you miss you end up with low guts and lower HP. So I usually just stick with Slash Combo. It's strong enough to KO your opponents without the HP drain. But get it if you really want it. Laters!

Ooops. Didn't really answer your question. No, I've had opponents live through Death Bringer before. It's just really strong. Laters!

Probably will be much better than your first one if you do freezing process.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You can really cut down on Death Bringer's self-inflicted damage by having Defense somewhere remotely near your Power. How did you manage to survive with your only good defensive stat being Life?

-- Nate Railsback (ChimeraMan101@aol.com), March 31, 2000.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Simple. Get in there and kill. Who needs defense when you can rush in and kill?

-- Celious (lionmage@hotmail.com), March 31, 2000.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't get it...you are saying you beat the Legends Cup again??

-- Jello (lukadjukic@yahoo.com), April 01, 2000.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So you did beat the Legends Cup--for the second straight time!!

-- Jello (lukadjukic@yahoo.com), April 01, 2000.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

celious is right, 'Get in there and kill', thats my motto, everybody needs POW/INT at 999...

Ordorf's trainer walked out to the barn and opened the door. "Wake up Ordorf, it's time for your daily shot of shit that makes you dodge things with a 75% hit chance. Ordorf are you there?" Ordorf was nowhere to be seen. The trainer searched the barn. Nothing but piles of Gaboo droppings. "Now where could he have gotten off to."the trainer said to himself. He turned to start out the door when he noticed a note. "GO LOOK IN THE RIVER" the note read. "Thats odd" said the trainer. "Who put this here?" He walked out toward the river. "Orrrdoorrrff!" he called "Ordorf where aarrreee yooouuu?" He got to the bank of the river. Something was wrong. The whole river was tainted deep purple. Thats when he saw it. A pair of eyes, gaboo eyes, floated in the river. "OH MY GOD!" screamed the trainer, "Ordorf, NOOOOO!" He through his hands in the air and cried "Why!? WHO DID THIS!?" At that moment Zack F, a rival trainer, jumped out from behind a bush and clubbed the trainer in the head with a tire iron, just before tossing him into the river. Ahhh. That felt good. Nice work Cel
