Howdy Chuck, a night driver; a response; Z

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TB2K spinoff uncensored : One Thread

Z1X: Your post might have been prey to the software upgrade that ate several others. I lost one, Arlin lost one, among others. One of the "pleasures" of a board where the software changes. cHUCK

Chuck, I haven't had time to read most of this stuff. But thanks for the response. There are a lot of places in this country that still lack internet access. You could be correct. Two posts. I just doubt it. Didn't mean to attack Old Git. The name just came up. Amazing when an airport is your access. Have to catch a plane. But, once again, thanks for the response.

Best wishes,,,,,

Z1X,

Have you noticed no one here but you, cares about Chuckle the cuckhold?

Z1 if you give me a date, I can check the log that EZboard keeps which is pretty untouchable (I know I can't do more than read it) and see, but I suspect that we all were victims of the instability of EZ's software "upgrade".

If memory serves (and I looked it up yesterday afternoon for someone else), the only deletes in the last 4 days were thread level deletes. Prior to that, (in the very recent past) I know of only 2 others and they were for a handle called BunkerBoy.

Cuckhold? Hooweee! I should be so lucky! I simply don't have the time, and Mrs Driver shoots a LOT better than I do.

Regards

C

Oh yeah, and given the screwy nature of our schedules, I sincerely doubt that she has the time either, so I probably ain't been cuckholded. Nice thought though.

There was a post on the old board that Chuck and Big Dog Dumpling said they sat up all night trying to decide whether it should be allowed on the forum. And what was the nature of this scurrilous, inflamatory, post about? Oh my gawwwd!!! It was about Zen Buddhism, which I'm sure just sent that Big Dog Christian into a tizzy. The post was by Richard Noggin, and I really enjoyed it. It was about not getting stressed out by fear.

Then of course we have the offended Sgt. Schultz screaming DELETE. But they did leave the post up, for which I thanked Chuck.

I wouldn't post on Sleaze Board if I were paid to do it. Ahh yes, I remember Arlin very well, the fellow who disliked anyone that didn't agree with his personal, narrow, values.

Gilda, I like you have no interest in posting on the EZ board. The possibility of an argument arising is of no concern but the inability to express an opposing view is not acceptable. I wouldnt last two seconds over there due to my opinions regarding the two certified lunatics from Cascadia, Ashton & Leska. These two freaks should be under lock and key and it boggles the mind that they might actually be responsible for the welfare or continued good health of others. Reading their posts is to take a stroll down the dark side of mental instability and you have to wonder how they could mingle with normal humans. For some reason they are a protected species over there and that is typical of the Yourdon mindset, or lack thereof.

When I was a young man we had a notorious mental institution in the area that had a very tall iron bar fence around an open yard area. During the summer, a bunch of us kids would ride our bikes over there to observe the patients as they were allowed to stroll around the yard. It was interesting to see but not one of us would dare to get to close to the fence. Kind of the same way I feel about the EZ board forum.entertaining to look at but dont get too close to the inmates.

Sifting, Gilda:

*I* continue to post on occasion to the EZBOARD. I'm not at all worried about contagion. Yeah, I'm outraged by the banning of folks I enjoy, but discussing the topic is "blowing in the wind", and engaging in a boycott of that forum is depriving those there of my words of wisdom. [That was a joke for Will Continue.] As I said in another post, they've established a private, exclusive forum. They're NOT using my tax dollars to support it, so I can't complain about who they do/do not invite to post.

I never did have any loyalty regarding where I posted on the internet. I always felt free to post wherever I chose. Some folks on TB2000 HATED it that I posted on Debunkers. Some folks on Debunkers hated it that I posted on TB2000. I don't care what folks think in this regard.

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), April 12, 2000.

Hey sifting, I second everything you said.

Anita, it's not that I have a "loyalty" to any one forum, but as a writer, former bookstore owner and avid reader, there is nothing on earth I despise like censorship. When you lose freedom of speech, the other freedoms soon follow.

There are a few I like over there, but it colors my opinion of them for wanting to suck up to Yourdon and to post on a censored board. I want to say what I think, instead of having to think about what I say. But as a lady of the night said, "It's OK with me if you want to work both sides of the street." (grin)

ROFL Gilda! I love your way with words at times, makes me envious I can't do the same. Only happens when I agree with you ofcourse ;-)

On a more serious note, I see Anita's point too. IMO it really is about free speech and freedom of association. Anita points out the freedom of association, and we're pointing out freedom of speech. As I see it, you and I choose not to associate with EZboard (the forum itself, not neccessarily the participants as a group) to take a firm stand for freedom of speech.

Exactly Chris!

Chuck:

I would love to; but my posts on EZ board are always deleted. Hence, I can't. I'm not going to communicate with you through another board.

Best wishes,,,,
